ever a neutral lover, I’ve been branching out somewhat and finding myself drawn to a brighter, albeit neutral colour palette, to coax myself into (dare I say it) more saturated hues. on this journey, I’ve been endeared to this golden sunshine yellowish gold (a shade worthy of verbose adjectives) that sits on the periphery of colour and neutral. to my delight, it’s the colour of summer 2024 and designers have spearheaded this ebullient shade since last year.
various shades of yellow dominate the colour spectrum — from hues airing on the side of canary yellow to gold, often offered in a sheen, comprising silk and satin fabrications. among its charm, I’ve piqued how other neutral-loving sartorialists celebrate this colourway and are succumbing to it, as a gateway to more playful hues than the typical neutrals we’re accustomed to. below are eight of my favourite yellow pieces. continue reading if, like me, you’ve also fallen for this delightful colour.
